Dr. Wijerathne Bohingamuwa Elected as the 14th President of the Sri Lanka Council of Archaeologists

Dr. Bohingamuwa has a distinguished academic background, holding a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree from the University of Cambridge (Cantab.) and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from the University of Oxford (Oxon). His commitment to education is evident in his role as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of History and Archaeology, University of Ruhuna, where he has inspired and mentored numerous students.

In addition to his teaching position, Dr. Bohingamuwa is a respected Fellow of the Sri Lanka Council of Archaeologists, an organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the country’s archaeological heritage.
